Rev. Amanda Gastreich

Rev. Amanda Gastreich began serving the congregation of Eldon UMC in 2021. Originally from St. Louis, Amanda has a decade of experience in non-profits including Appalachia Service Project, YWCA Metro St. Louis, Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis, Wyman Center and Mercy Investment Services. Amanda is dedicated to the messages of scripture and the United Methodist mission of making disciples for the transformation of the world. She is a passionate advocate for social justice and ensuring that all God’s children are able to fully live as the people God created them to be.

Amanda has a Masters of Divinity from Eden Theological Seminary, a Masters of Public Administration from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and a Bachelors from the University of Evansville.

Amanda lives in Eldon with her dog, Leslie (as in Leslie Knope from Parks and Recreation), and her cat, Orpah (as in the Book of Ruth). She enjoys cycling, motorcycle riding, crochet and sewing.
