Rev. Joan DeBoe is originally from Memphis, Missouri where she lived until young adulthood and was an active member of the Memphis United Methodist Church. Her mother recently moved to Eldon as well and lives at Rock Island Village. She has two brothers, one who still lives in Memphis and one who lives in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Rev. Joan’s husband, David, is from Virginia and is a computer programmer/analyst. The have three children, two sons and a daughter, and they also have three grandchildren, ages 7, 4, and 2.
Rev. Joan is a second-career pastor, having worked previously in the field of accounting and tax. She entered ministry five years ago, serving as half-time pastor at New Bloomfield United Methodist Church while concurrently serving at the assistant treasurer and controller of the Missouri Conference of the United Methodist Church in Columbia. For the last two years, she served as the Pastor or Worship and Administration at Missouri United Methodist Church, also in Columbia. She was appointed as the full time local pastor to the Eldon United Methodist church on July 1, 2018.
Rev. Joan enjoys playing the piano, watching movies, and cardmaking.
